prisca nwikpomaths A cylindrical shoe polish tin is 7cm in diameter and 4cm deep. Calculate the capacity of the tin in cm3.19 MarchComment
falase ayodeji your answer is 154cm3.
The Capacity means the volume of the shoe polish(cylindrical)
The formular for the volume of the cylinder is pi*r2*h where your pi=22/7 or 3.142
the diameter is 7cm, therefore the radius is half of diameter= r=d/2= 7/2cm or 3.5cm
The height =depth is 4cm.
Therefore using your formular V=pi*r2*h , we have
22/7*7/2*7/2*4 in cm3
=(22*7*7*4)/(7*2*2)... Read All 0019 April

andy chuks A matrix (plural matrices, or less commonly matrixes) is a rectangular array of numbers, symbols, or expressions. The individual items in a matrix are called its elements or entries. An example of a matrix with nine elements is
4, 5, 6
2, 4, 5
4, 3, 7
Matrices of the same size can be added or subtracted element by element. The rule for... Read All 0023 April 2012

andy chuks Venn diagrams or set diagrams are diagrams that show all possible logical relations between a finite collection of sets (aggregation of things). Venn diagrams were conceived around 1880 by John Venn. They are used to teach elementary set theory, as well as illustrate simple set relationships in probability, logic, statistics, linguistics and computer... Read All 0030 January 2012
