  • Today August 9th 2012, the entire students of the great citadel of Engineering, Agriculture, Management, Health, and Science, the Federal University of Technology, FUTO goes to poll.

    The election which has been scheduled to kick-off by 10.00am prompt will start simultaneously in quiet over 40 departments in the university, with each polling unit manned by operatives of the school security outfits to ensure peaceful voting.

    Among the posts being contested for are;
    The SUG president
    The Vice President
    Secretary General
    Asst Sec gen
    Directors of Socials
    Director of Transports
    Director of Welfare
    Director of Sports
    The PRO, etc.

    Each department in the school will also elect one person each to represent them in the Students Representative Council (SRC).

    Due to limits of time in this report, we will not give details of the contestants but will do that by the time the result of the election gets to our desk.

    It was gathered this morning that the school has been in a state of noise as contestants are busy moving around for the final hunt of voters and supporters.

    Internal elections for the post of hostel governorship and allied posts hold tomorrow after the general union elections today.
