  • …Nine wounded

An explosion hit a beer garden in Bauchi on Sunday, wounding nine people.
Bauchi State police chief, Mohammed Ladan, told The Associated Press that an improvised explosive device went off late Sunday in the city.
Nigerian Red Cross official, Adamu Abubakar, said a three-month-old baby was among the wounded.
The blast came two days after an explosion went off near a popular nightclub in the capital Abuja, but left no one hurt.
The attacks came amid growing violence blamed on a radical Boko Haram sect in many states in northern Nigeria.
A trio of beer garden attacks last year killed 25 people in the sect's Maiduguri base.
