Print - The Governing council of the federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta,
has appointed Professor Olushola Oyewole as the new vice chanchellor of
the institution.
He succeeds Prof. Olaiya Balogun whose tenure expires by may of the year 2012. His appointment take effect from may 24, 2012 and it is for a single term of 5 years.
Oyewole's appointment as the fifth substantive vc of funaab was approve at the 70th statutory meeting of the university Governing council on Friday April 20, 2012 and communicated through an official letter of appointment signed by the Pro chancellor and chairman of the council, Chief Lawrence Osayemi.
According to a statement by the deputy director and head, public relation officer; Lason Somiye, the pro chancellor while handing over the letter of appointment to the new VC said Oyewole was unanimously chosen by the council ahead of three other candidates screened by the selection committee.
He is to commence immediate understudy of the incumbent vice-chancellor, Prof. Oluwafemi Balogun towards a smooth handling over on may 24,2012. - Posted by williams sodic on 2012-04-30
