  • Today Marks the 50 years of Nigeria Independence. Exactly 50 years ago the UNION JACK was lowered and NIGERIAN FLAG was hoistered.

We are 50 years free!! lets celebrate!

But wait!! What are we celebrating for after a whole 50 years of independence hu?
I hear some saying democracy, Yes DEMOCRACY and what?
    Tribalism? LOL

    Corruption? LMFAO

It doesn't matter much sha anyhow man go celebrate cos its ain't easy.

On a serious note, Lets work together and make Nigeria great so that in the near future we will have an endless list of things to celebrate for.

    • Once again,Nigeria is being celebrated an independent nation. It's something of great joy and needs to be celebrated. It's not an easy thing to be 50 years. Now,it's true it's not an easy thing to build up a nation but with the little we have, WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED SO FAR?That's a question every citizen needs to think about before answering.Just as we celebrate,we still need to sit and answer this question. What has been achieved over these years of independence? What has the government done on it's own? This is a country filled with talented people who can use their God-given skills for the improvement of the nation. If we were not talented, why then did the Europeans steal our Benin artworks including our Festac '99 mask? There is hardly anything ''Made in Nigeria'' what we see is "Made in Italy", "Made in Thailland", "Made in China"etc. What have we made on our own without interference from any other country?Even dresses, shoes, ceramics, bags of rice are imported. The money we use to import goods we ourselves can produce is what is supposed to be used to better the lives of the less priveledged.Even today as we're celebrating our independence,we do that without power supply.Nevertheless,I have faith in Nigeria. We are going somewhere. All the same,HIP HIP HIP HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nigeria is 50.Let's celebrate as we join hands together towards making our country the GREATEST.United we stand,Divided we fall!God bless Nigeria.
